You train. You push. You recover.

PHYSIOTHERAPIST · PERFORMANCE COACH · AMSTERDAM

You’ve been at this for years. The workouts are there. The effort is real. But you’re running on guesswork. Why are you’re always tired, why does that injury keeps coming back, why does training feel like maintenance and not progress. The fitness world has given you programmes without understanding. Challenges without context. Motivation without knowlegde.

Imagine actually understanding how your body works. Moving with confidence and not caution. Training in a way that makes you stronger every year, not just this one. A practice, not just a routine.

That is what The Kokoro Collective is built on. A physio-informed, depth-first approach to movement, performance and mental clarity. Not a programme you finish. A practice you build.

But something is still missing.

30 minutes. No pitch, just clarity.

  • You train hard, but your progress doesn’t match your effort.

  • Your energy, recovery or gut health keeps derailing your training.

  • You want to be consistent, but work, stress and travel pull you off track.

  • You feel overwhelmed by conflicting information and don’t know what to trust.

If you recognise yourself in one or more of these, you’re in the right place.

IS THIS YOU?

WHAT CHANGES

What three months of real integration feels like.

Not a six-week shred. Not a temporary spike in motivation. This is what a settled, integrated practice actually looks like.

BODY

Your training improves your sleep. Your sleep improves your performance. You stop fighting your body and start working with it.

MIND

The mental noise quiets. You move through your day with more clarity and less friction. What felt like a discipline problem turns out to have been an alignment problem.

LIFE

Work, stress, and travel stop derailing you. Not because life got easier, but because your foundation got stronger. Your consistency becomes something you trust.

‘‘Your mindset shifts from forcing to flowing.’’

THE KOKORO APPROACH

Most training programs focus on what to do.

We start with understanding why your current approach isn't working.
Then we build a system that actually fits your life.

Phase 1 - Assess

Week 1

Before any plan, we need clarity.

What we uncover:

– Your body’s actual capacity, not what you think it should be

– Movement quality and injury risk

– Lifestyle, stress, and time constraints

– Recovery patterns, sleep quality, and energy markers

The outcome:
A complete picture of where you are and what’s actually holding you back.

Phase 2 - Build

Week 2-12

Now we design a plan around your reality, not a template.

What you get:

– Training that adapts to your recovery

– Nutrition guidelines aligned with your gut health and goals

– Recovery strategies that fit your schedule

– Weekly check-ins through my coaching app

– Everything integrated: structured, adaptable, grounded in mindful athleticism

The outcome:
Structure without rigidity. Progress without burnout.

Phase 3 - Elevate

Month 3+

This is where the work compounds.

Your training improves your sleep.

Your recovery enhances your performance.

Your mindset shifts from forcing to flowing.

.Where your training, recovery, and lifestyle align into sustainable growth.

The outcome:
Sustainable strength. Consistent energy. Clarity that carries into every part of your life. This is Kokoro in practice.

ABOUT MARK

A decade in the clinic. Everything I do comes from there.

A man in black athletic clothing performs a walking exercise on a marked mat while another man kneels beside him, observing and providing support or instruction. The setting appears to be a modern gym or physical therapy facility with dark walls and contemporary lighting.

I became a physiotherapist because I wanted to help people. Movement problems, injury patterns, structural imbalances. For years, that was the job.

But the more people I worked with, the more I noticed something: fixing the physical problem wasn’t always fixing the person or the root cause. Someone would come in with a shoulder issue, we’d resolve it, and six months later they’d be back. Sometimes the same shoulder. Sometimes something else.

The injury wasn’t always the problem. It was a signal.

I’m Mark Wilbrink, clinical physiotherapist and performance coach based in Amsterdam. I’ve spent more than a decade working with people who train hard, live fully, and still feel like something isn’t quite right. The Kokoro Collective is my attempt to bridge that gap; a framework that integrates how you move, how you recover, and how you think, built on clinical science and the belief that true strength lies in alignment, not force

Kokoro didn’t start as a brand. It started as a question: what does it actually look like when someone’s body, mind, and life are aligned?
